Summer Sunset - Contest Entry for Makeupbee.com

This is being posted a little later than expected so sorry about that. Okay so on with the look. I love the competitions that makeupbee.com hold. I always get excited when there's a new one. I love entering them and each theme always gives me new ideas for looks.
This competition is a summer themed contest in which you have to focus on the lips. I wanted to incorporate this summers trending colors. I did some research and the colors that i thought would look interesting was coral and mint green. I think these colors are beautiful together and contrast really well making the other pop. They remind me of a sunset during summer when the sky starts to turn pink and orange. So if you like the look keep on reading to find out how i did it :)

On the eyelid I applied Inglot's D.S eyeshadow in 467 which is a slightly pink toned nude that had some sparkle in it.I took Inglot's AMC Shine eyeshadow in 15 which is an orange/coral colour with a gold sheen. I applied this to the outer corner and sweeping it into the crease. I used just a random frosted white shadow that I don't know the name of and applied it to the inner corner and to the brow bone.

I took a mint green liner and applied it to the lower lash line then I went over that with a mixture of Inglot's D.S eyeshadow in 504 and Barry M's Mint Green and winged it out with the liner.

For the lips I used the same mint green liner to line the lips and blend it in slightly and set it with the Mint Green from Barry M but left the centre for the the Inglot AMC Shine 15 and blended the edges.

This is my final look. Please if you guys can vote for my look on Makeupbee.com I would really appreciate it :) Hope you all enjoy :D

The Avengers Series: Captain America

OK so for my first blog post I wanted to start with an Avengers Assemble look. This is going to be the first of many series that I'm gonna do (trust me there might be a lot. haha).
So anyway this is my Captain America look. I went to see the movie today and this was the makeup that i wore. I wanted the colours to be very vibrant and noticeable. For anyone that doesn't know me I am colour mad and colour theory mad.  Just on a side note the movie was awesome and the Hulk was hilarious.

I love looks like this and would wear it out (which I did) .So if you like vibrant, in your face looks this is one is for you and there will be many more to come. I want each look to represent each one of the Avengers whether it be a certain symbol or colours or just elements of the character. So this one was obviously the star that is on Captain Americas's shield.

This is the full look. I went for the red lip to tie in with the red on the eye. It's bold and makes it look more intense.
A nude glossy lip also suits the look. It will keep the focus on the eyes which is what i wore for the rest of the day. Also the Picture below was where i pull the most inspiration.
